HFM Test Approved – Dreamer Journal Feature

Today is a great day! Not just because my daughter is going to be in a dance-a-thon at school or because it’s the perfect temperature and sunny… nope, that’s not all. What else, you ask? Well, because I am a contributor in one of my absolute favourite online kids magazines today, Dreamer Journal – A Creative Sketchbook. Check it out, it is filled to the brim with gorgeous images, artwork and oodles of inspiration for the photographer and parent alike! Shannon Sewell and Julie Martin, you never cease to amaze me, what an awesome issue. Thanks for letting me be a part of such a great project.

Here are the images and the story behind them.

My family decided to partake in National screen free week which means… No computer outside of office hours and NO T.V. Completely inspired by HFM,
This is what we did instead!

This fun family project will give you two days worth of activities,
FIRST DAY – Create a backdrop that’s worthy of your smiling faces
SECOND DAY – Snap away, family photo booth extravaganza!

What kid doesn’t like to play dress up and make funny faces… for once it’s not about that perfect position
or smile, but about having fun together.Have it up all day long and let your play date friends pop in for a few shots!

Don’t forget the dog! The biggest bonus… if you are the photographer of the household you are probably used to never seeing
your face in a photo, well this is a guaranteed cure all. You set it up and your spouse can take the pic, even
with no skill at all. (warning, some post production cropping and sharpening may be required).
What are you waiting for? Turn off the T.V. and have some family fun.
