Stephanie and Michael’s NYC Wedding

July 18, 2018

Stephanie and Michael had a beautiful, intimate NYC wedding in May. We explored NYC and Brooklyn to capture their beautiful love with iconic cityscapes as our backdrop. This day was one for the books. I will forever remember being witness to their extraordinary adoration for each other and the wonderful support they had from their families.

I asked Stephanie and Michael to tell me a little about their experience with having an intimate NYC Wedding;

“There are not enough words to describe how happy we are with Alicia and how grateful we are that she was the one to capture our big day. We first encountered Alicia and her talent at our friends’ wedding the previous summer and were thrilled when she expressed an interest in travelling to New York City to photograph ours. She is a true talent with the loveliest demeanour, allowing her to bring out the best in her “subjects.” We had no previous experience taking professional photos and her keen eye, extensive knowledge, and friendly guidance resulted in the most beautiful photos. It’s sometimes hard to believe we are the two people appearing in these pictures!

While we are from Toronto, we decided on a small, intimate wedding in New York City / Brooklyn with just our immediate families. We were very excited to take advantage of all of NYC’s beautiful backdrops but battled the threat of some terrible rain and thunderstorms on our big day. We couldn’t believe our luck – we were able to capture all the scenes we wanted, and the rain held off until the moment we finished taking photos. How’s that for good luck?!” – Stephanie and Michael

If you are planning an NYC wedding, check out Frankies 457. Here is a little info and link to find out more about this amazing restaurant.

THE FRANKIES 457 SPUNTINO STORY
Frankies 457 Spuntino opened its doors on September 13, 2004 in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. The owners, Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli – The Franks – childhood friends who reconnected many years later, discovered the space in 2003 and bonded over their love for simple and nutritious Italian fare.

Together, they conceptualized Frankies Spuntino, a unique restaurant that embodied the sum of their collective Italian-American heritages, food philosophies, and culinary backgrounds. They created a deceptively simple menu using the freshest ingredients, instilled an attentive service philosophy, and a food-friendly wine list.

Frankies’ consistently delicious food, welcoming atmosphere and great value have made it one of the most beloved restaurants in Brooklyn, and it is often credited with helping to put the borough on the culinary map.

SPUNTINO (spoon’tîno), noun: An informal meal or a snack; also, a casual Italian eatery.
