Beautiful handmade furniture you’ll enjoy for years to come
Beautiful furniture, built to last, made by hand
I believe that the things we surround ourselves with are a reflection of our values. That’s why Son of a Woodcutter makes every piece of furniture by hand, using locally sourced reclaimed wood and barn board. Our pieces are made the way things used to be made, that’s why they’ll look beautiful in your home for years to come.

We imbue quality, craftsmanship and engineering in all our products, qualities that can be overlooked in a lot of handmade furniture. We strive for straight, clean lines and hand build each of our pieces one at a time in an expansive shop full of top-of-the-line tools.
We have a respect for natural materials and a passion for carpentry. With every cut we make, every hole we drill, and every stroke of our brush, the focus is on creating a finished product that’s as beautiful as it is hard-working and represents our values of Quality, Craftsmanship, and Integrity.
All our wood comes from locally sourced reclaimed wood or decommissioned barn board from century-old agricultural buildings around Ontario. Each carefully hand-selected piece of wood has it’s own story, it’s own dents, dings and imperfections, it’s own distinctive grains and knots.
